BELLS AND BREAKS
I like my
school. It’s beautiful, new and modern. It’s very big. It has a swimming-pool,
a gym and a playground. There is a school café where you can get lunch.
We go to
school 5 days a week. The lessons last 45 minutes. The breaks last 10 minutes
and I think they are too short. I usually have 5-6 lessons a day. And I’d like
to have fewer subjects because it’s not easy to have many subjects on your
timetable.
I have such
lessons at school as Belarusian, Russian, Belarusian and Russian literature,
English, History, Geography, Science, Mathematics, Art, Handicraft and Music.
My favourite
subject is Handicraft because it is easy and I like doing things and cooking. I
often get excellent marks in Handicraft. My least favourite school subjects are
Belarusian literature and Art. I don’t like them because they are boring. The
most difficult subjects are Maths and Belarusian. Sometimes I get bad marks in Maths
and Belarusian because they are difficult subjects. We have to do a lot of homework to get good
marks.
I like English
lessons. I practice speaking English as often as possible, watch films in
English. I am good at reading in English but I would like to improve my
vocabulary and grammar. I have to take extra classes to study English deeper. I
would like to go to an international camp in summer.
My favourite
school day is Friday. I have six lessons on Friday. They are PE, English,
Geography, Belarusian, Maths and Belarusian literature.
At our school
we mustn’t wear a uniform but we must come on time, always bring our daybooks,
books and exercise books, do our homework. We must be polite, behave well, keep
our school clean and tidy and follow the rules.
I think I am
a good student because I get good marks at school. I try to work hard and not
to make a lot of mistakes. I do my homework and read a lot. I like to learn new
things. I don’t spend a lot of time on the computer. My teachers are always
happy with me. Our teachers are great and the lessons are interesting. Our school
is great too, but the breaks are too short and there are too many rules to
follow.
